IG Group acquires a majority stake in the cryptocurrency trading platform Independent Reserve for AUD 109.6 million

ChainCatcher news, online trading platform IG Group has acquired a majority stake in the Australian cryptocurrency trading platform Independent Reserve for AUD 109.6 million (USD 72.4 million).

It is reported that IG will initially acquire 70% of the company's shares and has the right to purchase the remaining 30% based on future performance. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in early 2026, with a total value of AUD 178 million (USD 117.6 million).
