《纽约时报》此前报道称，伊朗特工周日曾间接联系美国中央情报局，讨论结束冲突的条款。据半官方的塔斯尼姆通讯社报道，伊朗情报部消息人士称该报道是“纯粹的谎言和心理战”。
受此否认消息影响，油价曾短时间走高，但随后迅速回落，原因是交易员正将注意力转向美国海军护航霍尔木兹海峡油轮的计划。
