据知情人士透露，华尔街的两大顶级监管机构 CFTC 和 SEC 正在讨论迁入华盛顿同一建筑群的计划，该建筑群距离美国国会大厦仅几步之遥。
证券交易委员会（SEC）和商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）分别监管不同的市场，根据这些人士的说法，该计划不会将两者合并，但正在讨论将 CFTC 迁入 SEC 目前所在的同一建筑群，该建筑群位于联合车站（Union Station）附近。这一搬迁计划自去年就开始讨论，据这些人士称，最早可能要到 2027 年才会实施。负责监督联邦房地产的机构------美国总务管理局也参与了这些讨论。
