ChainCatcher 消息，据美国纽约南区联邦法院文件显示，纽约联邦法官在针对 Tether 与 Bitfinex 的市场操纵诉讼中已批准原告的集体诉讼资格申请（class certification），并将案件划分为现货投资者与期货交易者两类原告群体。据悉本案指控 Tether 和 Bitfinex 在 2017 年至 2019 年期间通过发行 USDT 操纵加密市场价格，导致购买 BTC 和 ETH 的投资者损失高达数千亿美元。
