The report points out that the operating and regulatory indicators of Chinese financial institutions remain within a reasonable range. The financial regulatory system has been further improved. The high-level opening up of finance has been expanded in an orderly manner. International financial cooperation continues to deepen, and the ability to maintain national financial security is continuously enhanced.

Regarding the considerations for the next steps, the report proposes six aspects: implement a moderately loose monetary policy in detail to create a suitable monetary and financial environment for consolidating and expanding the positive momentum of economic recovery; further strengthen and improve financial regulation, continuously enhance regulatory quality and effectiveness; highlight the key direction of financial services for the real economy, focusing on providing high-quality financial services; continue to deepen the structural reform of the financial supply side; promote high-level bilateral financial opening up and maintain national financial security; prevent and resolve financial risks in key areas, ensuring that systemic financial risks do not occur.

Among them, regarding the promotion of high-level bilateral financial opening up, the report states that the internationalization of the renminbi should be steadily and cautiously advanced, comprehensively enhancing the international monetary functions of the renminbi in pricing, payment, investment and financing, and reserves.
