Blockchain infrastructure project Succinct has announced the mainnet deployment of the Succinct Prover Network and activation of its native PROVE token.
Succinct Prover Network offers a decentralized marketplace on Ethereum, enabling applications to submit zero-knowledge proof requests, with independent provers competing to verify them. It enables developers to use ZK tech without custom setups, designed to make it simpler to build secure, transparent, and scalable crypto infrastructure.
The system will support everything from Ethereum, which has made ZK a top priority on its roadmap, to high-speed rollups that process tens of thousands of transactions per second for compute-intensive applications like trading and AI agents, the project said in a statement shared with The Block.
"Our goal from the start was to make proving infrastructure accessible at internet scale," Succinct Labs CTO John Guibas said. "Going from whitepaper to a working mainnet in eight months shows what's possible when engineering and cryptography come together with focus."
The network's architecture utilizes off-chain execution with onchain settlement — similar to Layer 2 designs. Proofs are posted periodically to Ethereum, enabling independent validation by any user. Users interact directly with off-chain components for performance, while settlement is enforced onchain.
The PROVE token
The PROVE token serves as the medium of exchange and the backbone of the network's incentive and security model. "The PROVE token provides the economic foundation for paying provers and securing the network, enabling a universal payments rail for all ZK-enabled infrastructure," the project noted. PROVE token holders can also participate in governance, deciding on network parameters such as emissions, auction design, and fee structures.
"With mainnet live, Succinct is ready to support the next generation of applications that require verifiable computation," Succinct Labs CEO Uma Roy said. "We believe ZK proofs will become the standard for how crypto integrates with the broader internet, and we're proud to lead that shift."
The network claims it already supports more than 35 protocols, including Polygon, Mantle, Celestia, and Lido, processing over five million proofs from 1,700 programs, and securing over $4 billion in value.
In May, Succinct announced SP1 Hypercube, a next-generation zkVM designed for real-time Ethereum proving, which aligns with Ethereum's roadmap prioritizing ZK-based scaling without sacrificing decentralization. The following month, Succinct completed a ZK proving pilot on World Chain's mainnet, clearing a path for the Layer 2 to become a ZK rollup ultimately.
In 2024, Succinct Labs, the project's core developer, raised $55 million in a Series A funding round led by Paradigm.
