After the procedural vote in the U.S. Senate, the end date of the shutdown remains uncertain

According to the American traditional political media The Hill, although the procedural vote on the "government shutdown ending plan" has been passed by the Senate, there are still more steps to complete before the government can reopen. Any senator can delay the consideration of the plan for several days, and additionally, the House of Representatives must reconvene and pass the agreement reached by the Senate before it can be sent to President Donald Trump for signing.

According to relevant information, after the procedural vote is passed, the Senate must amend three appropriations bills (legislative, military construction, and agriculture, including the SNAP program), and then send them back to the House. Each amendment will trigger a 30-hour debate period, which could delay the process.

If the Democrats choose to extend these debates, the government may not reopen until Wednesday or Thursday, but if they act quickly, the "government shutdown ending" process could be completed tonight, allowing the U.S. government to reopen tomorrow night. The current filibuster rules could significantly impact the timeline.
