ChainCatcher 消息，韓國加密貨幣交易所 Bithumb 承認其內部系統存在嚴重缺陷，導致錯誤向用戶轉帳 62 萬枚比特幣，而非原計劃的 62 萬韓元。Bithumb CEO Lee Jae-won 表示，這一事故主要由於交易處理 24 小時延遲和加密貨幣持有量更新滯後所致。
雖然交易所已追回大部分比特幣，但仍有 1,786 枚在帳戶凍結前被售出的比特幣尚未找回。韓國國會議員對該國虛擬資產市場缺乏有效監管表示擔憂，特別是在韓國加密貨幣投資者已達 1,000 萬人，成為全球交易量最活躍市場之一的背景下。
