Amboss is a product suite built around the Lightning Network, starting with Space, a network explorer and analytics platform for viewing nodes, channels, and changes in network topology. On top of that, the team launched Magma, a liquidity marketplace where nodes needing inbound capacity buy channels from nodes with idle capital, with prices set by supply and demand and counterparties recommended by AI. Buyers can also obtain continuously replenished inbound capacity on a subscription basis instead of opening channels by hand each time.
Beyond these two, Amboss offers Reflex, a risk and compliance tool for institutions; Rails, which lets users put capital into liquidity provision and routing while keeping self-custody; RailsX, a peer-to-peer trading venue built on Lightning; and a payments interface settling USDT, USDC, and BTC. All of these products share one long-accumulated network dataset, covering topology changes, channel opens and closes, and records of node policy updates.
Amboss launched RailsX on January 30, 2026 at the PlanB Forum in El Salvador, the first Lightning-native P2P DEX enabling atomic swaps between Bitcoin and stablecoins (Taproot Assets) via circular self-payments in full self-custody, with optimized transaction costs as low as 0.29%.
Amboss's RailsX integrates the Magma liquidity marketplace and Taproot Assets, and partners with Magnolia and Bringin for fiat on/off ramps to US and European banking rails, targeting the $9.5 trillion daily FX market.
Future strategy and roadmap: Amboss plans to build on RailsX with Rails liquidity providers and Magma, expand institutional market-making and stablecoin issuer partnerships, and advance CLARITY Act-aligned compliance.
