Về Hypertensor
Hypertensor is a platform for decentralised AI whose layer-1 chain uses the Substrate framework and nominated proof-of-stake consensus, providing a consensus and incentive layer for AI applications. Its basic unit is the subnet: anyone can launch one, and a subnet is a fully customisable decentralised AI application that also acts as a layer-2, with nodes inside it validating each other's AI work in real time and consensus settling on-chain to keep the subnet secure and emissions honest.
Under the subnet consensus protocol, layer-1 validators randomly elect validators for each subnet every epoch to submit consensus data, non-elected nodes act as attestors over its accuracy, and overwatch nodes continuously check how decentralised each subnet is and benchmark them. The decentralised subnet standard, paired with a proof-of-inference consensus, can run fully decentralised large language models: transformer layers are split across servers according to each node's GPU memory, while the client keeps token embeddings locally and chains servers together to complete inference. Smart contracts and a DeFi layer are part of the protocol as well.
On April 7, 2026 the Hypertensor team declared the testnet complete, with more than 1 million blocks validated, over 2 million pubsub heartbeats and 5 million gossiped messages processed, and end-to-end decentralised AI network coordination confirmed.
On June 11, 2026 Hypertensor upgraded the subnet template from a reference implementation into a developer framework. On July 10 subnet consensus moved from 1:1 node counting to stake-weighted attestations, while keeping a minimum node-count quorum so voting power tracks real economic security.
Hypertensor mainnet 1.0 remains targeted for 2026, with remaining milestones including a bidirectional Ethereum bridge, a fourth testnet with EVM support, and production-grade environments for agent swarms and model coordination.
