Về Wexo
Wexo is a crypto payment application run by a Slovakia-based team, built around Bitcoin Lightning Network capability: merchants get virtual POS terminals that accept instant, low-fee Bitcoin payments without dedicated hardware, with terminals generating payment QR codes and invoice links that merchants can embed in their ordering systems. The app also integrates a self-custodial wallet, built-in exchange, euro wallet, card payments, recurring purchases, an NFT marketplace, and phone-number transfers, with cashback payable in Bitcoin, gold, or the S&P 500 index.
It targets the scarcity of everyday crypto spending scenarios and high merchant onboarding barriers, using virtual POS and fiat rails to pull digital assets into retail acceptance, with Lightning channels handling instant settlement. The WEXO token is used for fees and benefits within the ecosystem, with the app spanning Ethereum and Base ecosystems. The wallet offers a unified multi-asset view, with fiat and crypto balances shown in one interface.
Burns: WEXO runs fixed monthly burns; the 14th round completed on May 3, sending 3,541,053 WEXO on-chain to the 0x00...dEaD dead address, with another 3,541,053 WEXO burned in September. The team says the 928M total supply is fixed with no further minting.
Unlocks: On October 21, 8.99M WEXO (1% of total supply, about 1.8% of market cap) unlocked, split 65.6% community and 34.4% insiders; 86 remaining unlock events will release about 417.8M WEXO (45% of supply).
