XATA is a maximal extractable value minimization protocol launched in 2021, incubated within the Automata ecosystem and deployed on BNB Chain and Polygon. Its Conveyor mechanism keeps transaction ordering hidden from all nodes until it is fixed and unalterable, so outsiders cannot inject or delete ordered transactions, protecting trading pairs from front-running; users can pay fees directly in the token being swapped, with no need to hold the native token in advance. The protocol runs independently, requiring no miner bribes or special modifications to validators.
It addresses the erosion of ordinary traders' returns by front-running and sandwich attacks in public mempools, replacing after-the-fact protection with ordered privacy. XATA appears in the MEV tooling landscape since 2021 alongside private transaction pools and block builder auctions, positioned as a multi-chain anti-front-running infrastructure layer.
XATA charges a flat 0.025% (2.5 bps) builder fee on every perpetual trade, with Hyperliquid trading fees applied on top; the builder fee carries 10% cashback, bringing the effective rate to about 0.0225%.
