ANT.FUN has completed the acquisition of the centralized wallet and payment product WhalePay

ChainCatcher news, ANT.FUN announced the completion of its acquisition of the centralized wallet and payment product WhalePay on October 28.

WhalePay was previously founded by a well-known team and had received millions of dollars in investments, including from former MEXC executives. Its business covers centralized wallets, payment, and card issuance services. It is reported that WhalePay successfully issued hundreds of thousands of U cards and has a LTV of over one hundred million dollars.

ANT.FUN stated that after the full acquisition of WhalePay, both parties will integrate their technical teams to restructure existing products to optimize the usability and stability of the wallet. Future product iterations will mainly focus on wealth management, payment, and asset management functions, and plans to support x402 related protocols.

ANT.FUN pointed out that this acquisition aims to enhance the company's capabilities in asset management and wealth management while gaining traffic and business resources from WhalePay's original shareholders.
