Stable is a global stablecoin payments infrastructure project that provides instant transfer and settlement around USDT for individuals and businesses with cross-border needs. Its goal is to make stablecoins easier to use in daily payments and fund flows.
The project offers accounts, transfers and settlement so stablecoin collection and payout can be done at low cost across regions, with compliance and risk arrangements. Emphasizing speed, usability and compliance, it connects stablecoins with payment scenarios and designs products for both businesses and individuals, making it a project in stablecoin payments and cross-border settlement.

StableChain is a USDT-native L1: in July 2026 the team released SDK v0 and upgraded infrastructure to handle surging on-chain activity; on Aug 26, mainnet upgrade v1.8.0 introduced Guaranteed Blockspace and parallel execution, with the roadmap targeting DAG-based consensus, StableVM++, and over 10,000 TPS.
Token unlocks continue: on Oct 8, 888.89M STABLE (about $25.09M, 3.377% of circulation) unlocked, and monthly unlocks will run through November 2029; staking STABLE can share the transaction-fee treasury subject to validator participation. Circulating supply is 18B, with an FDV of about $1.59B.
Stable is a Layer 1 blockchain that uses USDT as its native gas token, backed by Bitfinex and Tether with a $28 million seed round co-led by Bitfinex and Hack VC. More than $1.1 billion, mostly USDT, was pre-deposited across over 10,000 wallets at mainnet launch, alongside the native STABLE token for network security and governance. The chain is denominated in USDT0 and targets sub-second finality with fees below one cent.
What it sells is not another general-purpose chain but stablecoin settlement infrastructure: guaranteed blockspace gives institutional high-frequency flows deterministic inclusion, zero-fee peer-to-peer USDT transfers remove dual-token friction, and programmable payment rails let digital dollars earn yield while held. Priorities for 2026 include migrating gas from gUSDT to USDT0, launching sybil-resistant free P2P transfers and taking the consumer-facing StablePay app into public testing; at protocol level it is rolling out optimistic parallel execution with MemIAVL toward roughly 10,000 TPS, with 2D Nonce lifting the sequential nonce constraint.
Future strategy and roadmap: Stable is betting that stablecoins move from transfer instruments to a settlement layer, so it sells to payment service providers, remittance operators and fintechs, and looks to x402-style agentic payments as the next demand source, where AI agents settle high-frequency small-value flows on sub-second finality and gasless USDT. The risk is concentration in the Tether ecosystem, so any dispute over USDT reserves or regulation transmits directly to the chain; as B2B infrastructure it never reaches end users, so scale depends on partner execution, while Circle, Paxos and incumbent payment networks compete for the same settlement volume.
